Red and Black 1st Dan
With the 1st Dan, we offer you one of Red&Black's most interesting blades. It is an offensive blade, but the developers have designed it as a combination blade. The Kiri core veneer is followed by two carbon layers. With this inner-carbon construction, the 1st Dan is fast and explosive, but at the same time offers very good ball feedback, allowing you to play with spin-rich balls.
However, the special feature of this blade is the different veneer construction of the outer veneers. On the forehand side, the developers use a spruce veneer. On the backhand side, a walnut veneer is used. According to Red&Black, this should create a higher, more curved trajectory on the forehand and a flatter trajectory on the backhand.
This is particularly interesting for players who play spin-rich topspins with their forehand, but prefer a fast, direct block on their backhand. The blade is also highly interesting for players with short pips on the backhand side.
