Dr. Neubauer Explosion Soft Rubber - Softer, Versatile, Very Good Control
EXPLOSION SOFT is bonded with a significantly softer sponge. The resulting extended contact time of the ball on the racket provides noticeably more control, both in passive play (serve reception, push, block) and active play (counter-drive, smash).
This new version still offers a very good compromise between control, attack possibilities, and disruptive effect. Despite the very soft feel, EXPLOSION SOFT is a fast rubber that allows for powerful offensive play and is surprisingly easy to play overall.
The all-round characteristics of the original EXPLOSION version have been maintained, so this new, soft version EXPLOSION SOFT can be described as an all-purpose weapon with short pimples. The thinner sponge thicknesses (1.2/1.5/1.8mm) offer more control and disruptive effect. With a thicker sponge, the rubber becomes faster but produces slightly less disruptive effect.
